Today’s newsletter is going to be short and sweet!

Happy Friday! I hope you all are having a wonderful week. Enjoy your weekend! Today, I’m taking our conversation down to Midtown Detroit! And although this place is a chain, it is a wonderful one. Bakersfield is a beautiful taco spot with a very energetic and vibrant ambiance. When you walk in, you are greeted with warm smiles and fresh faces; you are taken to your table, which can range from a booth if you are a party of 5 or more or a part of a couple, then you are situated at a table near the windows or at the bar.

I had the pleasure of sitting down at Bakersfield on Tuesday and had a phenomenal time. Bakersfield specials at the Mexican fair and has a wide array of traditional Mexican food and classic drinks such as margaritas; they have a wide variety of margaritas for you to choose from, which is lovely considering the restaurant you’re in, what you pay for, and the service as well.

So yes, it is a chain. But there is nothing wrong with chains. We visit chains daily, whether we like to admit it or not. It’s how you approach them is what makes the difference. Bakersfield is nothing short of a good chain, and on a Tuesday, it was packed! I enjoyed trying every taco on the menu, including the empanadas and carnitas taquitos. Everything was flavorful and held much value, from when it got set in front of my partner and me to when it went into our mouths.

Overall, it was terrific, and I highly recommend the place if you plan on visiting Detroit and are in the Midtown area! I am so excited to continue to share some new favorites with you!
