Investing in Yourself
Let's Play Catch-Up! I'll Go First!
Happy Wednesday! Life has been a whirlwind lately! However, I do have some updates to share!
Two new people have joined us since my last newsletter! First of all, thank you so much for being here! I appreciate your presence and look forward to speaking with you!
Here are some things I have been thinking about recently:
I am entirely grateful that I was published in Bold Journey magazine! In it, I discuss my work ethic, how I deal with tough times, and what inspires me. You can access the article here if you wish to check it out!
I have also adjusted to working constantly, figuring out what I want out of life and what I like and don't like, my goals, aspirations, and what I see myself doing 3-5 years from now.
I am constantly trying to find my voice in the writing world. Although I don’t know what content I want to write precisely, I enjoy discussing different things and topics that interest me and feel wonderful about it.
I plan to make this newsletter short and sweet. Investing in yourself starts with you. It begins with how you view the world, what items you purchase in stores, especially grocery stores, and what inspires you. I have invested a lot in myself this past year because I felt like my life wasn’t moving in the direction I wanted.
The investment doesn't have to start with the things you buy, the clothes you wear, or your interactions with one another. It’s always how you start and end your day. I realized that giving myself the ability to rise early and rest early ensures my consciousness and activeness throughout the day. Also, making suitable adjustments can change your perspective on life.
I have done a great deal of reading in the morning and tend to limit my social media until I have officially sat down and started eating my breakfast. Limiting myself to mass media in the morning makes me more open and willing to check on that specific media throughout the day in smaller increments. Checking your phone is everyone’s initial reaction in the morning and scrolling, but if you immediately rise at the first alarm, stretch, brush your teeth, go to the bathroom, and then sit down and open your phone, laptop, or tablet. It will make you feel better not only about yourself but about what you plan to do throughout the day as well. Your mind is clear, and your first thought isn’t what happened last night, but it’s what I can do to make today a great day.
I told you that this post would be short and sweet, and well… it is. This is it. This particular post has been sitting in my drafts for a while now. I didn’t know how I wanted to word it or present it to everyone, but I feel so much better watching it get published and in your inbox.
I hope you have an excellent rest of your day, and I hope you think about how you can invest in yourself and your future. It doesn’t have to be a significant change; it can be small and even be something as simple as splashing water on your face in the morning or taking 10 minutes out of your morning routine to stretch and loosen up. However, it must impact how you view yourself, the world, and the people around you, so you continue to be open and mindful of whatever comes your way, whether good, bad, or ugly.
Cheers,
Ariana :^)
