Oat...Zempic?

+ Cats, Wall Street, and Keeping Ya coins.

GUD MAWNING. I hope you had a good weekend and I hope you continue to have a good week! My first semester is about over and I am happy to say that I am on track to graduate early! How exciting is that!

Question for you…

Thank you to those who have answered the last poll! I am trying to figure out the branding for this newsletter now. I see things shifting and although I want to continue to write about food, there are so many topics I realized I wanted to cover this past weekend!

This weeks newsletter includes:

  • Oatzempic. At this point I’ve said it so many times not only in my head but written it about three times on this newsletter and people. are. so. creative.

  • Wall Street is slipping…

  • Letting your cat outside!

World News:

  • Oatzempic? New viral drink trend on TikTok for weight loss. But does it really work? Although its name is EXTREMELY similar to the diabetes medication, there is no correlation to it AT ALL.

  • Wall Street Slips. On Tuesday, U.S. stocks experienced a decline while Treasury yields climbed, fueled by anticipations of sustained high interest rates.

  • Retail sales up .7% from February. American Consumers Boost Spending: Robust retail sales report signals significant growth.

  • Layoffs. 2024 is the year with the most second-month job cuts since 2009. A total of 84,638 people were laid off from U.S.-based employers in February. Many turn to multiple jobs amidst rising costs of living. Despite claims of hiring, job seekers face frustration as applications go unanswered

  • Keep Ya Coins. Americans are losing $62 million a year by tossing coins in the trash. I’m sure half the time people lose coins are because they forget they have them, throw them out, and drop them on the ground. Always make are you have something to keep your coins in, you are throwing out hundreds a month.

  • Responsibly letting your cat outside. When it comes to caring for your feline companions, offering them the freedom to make choices is crucial. Instead of imposing actions upon them, it’s essential to provide opportunities for engagement. Personally, I find joy in observing cats outdoors, particularly those with an inherent curiosity.

Local News:

Thank you so much for reading this weeks newsletter! I truly appreciate it! As I work to develop this brands identity more, I’d love to hear what you want to see more!

Have a great week!

Cheers,

Ariana :)
