The Importance of the show Eric on Netflix

+ Why I Love This Show

Good morning! I’m talking about the show Eric on Netflix, and I know what you’re thinking. A show? But this show…This show spoke to me in all of its entirety. I loved it and couldn't stop watching it. And I honestly hope there is another season that comes out. I don’t know what it would be about, but I know it would be so good. Everyone played their part so well, which is evident when watching the show.

Not only was this show a whirlwind, but it hit every significant aspect of character development a show could in six episodes, each lasting an hour. I think it can be pretty challenging when you’re trying to hit all the things you want in all aspects and parts you want, but when you have a carefully curated show with a clear vision, it can be done. I was constantly on the edge of my seat from episode one and could not take my eyes off the screen!

At first, thinking it would be more of a horror show… I don’t know why… Maybe it’s because the monster was following one of the characters around… but it wasn’t; this monster helped shape the show into what it was. I was pleasantly surprised by how much honesty, transparency, and curiosity each character exhibited throughout each episode. Not only are you introduced to many characters who show different traits and abilities, but characters who don't let these differences set them apart… I lied... maybe… Nonetheless, everyone plays a crucial role; this show mirrors many aspects we experience today, making it relatable and thought-provoking. It makes you question how you interact with others and think about what happens daily.

As I finish up episode six, I'm completely in awe of what Netflix was able to produce. This show is a masterclass in discussing complex emotions and sensitive topics, drawing the audience in with its depth and thought-provoking content.

Suppose you have yet to watch the show… If you do, please stop reading and start binging!!! It can be a little rough at times, and I only advise you to watch this if you're comfortable and willing because it deals with loss and abuse both physically and mentally. However, I can say so many things about this show, which are mainly so good.

I love being able to analyze and fully appreciate a show that has a full-circle moment. Although you're watching these characters deal with not only their problems, you're getting the ability to witness what life was like during this time for people who were scared, tired, and angry. The show's setting in the 80s is a fascinating backdrop that adds depth and context to the characters' experiences. Although this show is set in the 80s, there is much to debunk!

Edgar, the 9-year-old protagonist, is a character you can't help but root for. His journey is a central part of the show's narrative, and his resilience in adversity is truly inspiring. The show revolves around him and what happened to him, yet you learn so much more about the people he surrounds himself with and how different people handle stress based on their interactions with each other and themselves.

I won't give you the whole story, but there is something special about this series. I don't typically find Netflix shows to be that good. HOWEVER, Netflix made something special, a show I will not forget.

I hope you end up watching the show, as it will stick with you forever and is truly a show you will never forget. It will make you gasp, angry, and possibly cry. But that is the best thing about this show—you get to experience it all.

Cheers,

Ariana :^)

Have a great rest of your week!
